IIS announces Hall of Fame line-up

The International Insurance Society has announced the candidates for the 2010 Insurance Hall of Fame Awards.

The International Insurance Society (IIS) has announced the candidates for the 2010 Insurance Hall of Fame Awards.  They are Yehuda Kahane, Frank O’Halloran, Manuel Póvoas, Sir David Prosser and Charles Wang.

Kahane from Israel serves as an advisor to insurance companies in areas such as balancing asset and liability portfolios, rate making and reserving techniques, insurance under inflationary circumstances and insurance of natural risks in agriculture. Kehane has helped establish actuarial groups in Israel, Portugal, and in the former Soviet Union.
