A US judge has delayed a $657.5m settlement for workers who suffered health problems and injuries during the rescue, recovery and debris removal operations after the September 11 2001 terrorist attacks.

Southern District of New York Judge, Alvin Hellerstein, said the process needs to be transparent so the workers know the approximate value of the cash award they might receive before they get involved with the settlement, reported Reuters.
