CV Starr & Company (California) may be one of the oldest of the CV Starr agencies but it has the newest president. Michael Garrison was appointed president and CEO of the agency in February this year, and has a turnaround job on his hands. Garrison joined CV Starr in 2008 as a senior vice-president at Starr Tech.
CV Starr & Company (California) is the specialty casualty agency and was set up in 1953. It has the glummest outlook of all the agencies at the moment. The agency wrote nearly $300m of business last year and is projecting slightly above that for this year.
Unlike most of the other agencies, CV Starr & Co (California) is North America-focused only. Its main focus historically has been public entities and construction....
