Shortlist revealed for London Market Awards

05 May 2010

The best people and players in the London insurance market are set to be revealed at the 2010 Reactions London Market Awards, to be presented by England World Cup winning football legend Sir Geoff Hurst MBE.

The best people and players in the London insurance market are set to be revealed at the Reactions London Market Awards 2010, to be presented by England World Cup winning football legend Sir Geoff Hurst MBE.

This year’s awards dinner takes place on Wednesday June 30 2010 at the Grange City Hotel, London, sandwiched between the Round of 16 and the Quarter Finals of this year’s football World Cup being held in South Africa.

Building on the growing success and popularity of Reactions’ London Awards Programme, Reactions is delighted that such an important sporting icon will be joining this prestigious award ceremony and looks forward to an action packed evening of entertainment and rewarding excellence within the London Insurance Market.

The black tie event is sure to draw a big crowd including some of the most prominent characters in the London market. The very best insurers, reinsurers, brokers and service providers as voted for by their peers will be revealed in front of a packed audience.

Reactions conducted an extensive survey of risk managers, insurers, reinsurers and brokers to find out who they believe are the best in the business.

Companies that were nominated were then asked by Reactions to complete a standard entry form explaining why they believe they are the best in the category they have been nominated.

Lastly, in April an independent panel of judges debated the merits of each firm, taking the number of votes and supplied entry forms into account. After an extensive debate the panel decided on a winner for each category, as well as two firms to be highly commended. The panel also picked out winners in the individual categories.

The Reactions London Market Awards is a unique awards programme that focuses on recognising the best companies, teams and individual excellence across the London insurance market. This year, we have reformed the underwriting, reinsurance and broking categories to focus on both company and team success and we have also aligned the categories to better reflect the largest lines of business underwritten through Lloyd’s.

The winners will not be revealed until the night of the awards presentation on June 30. This will ensure the Reactions London Market Awards is the most prestigious and the most exciting awards show in town.

Do not miss out on the excitement. Book your table now.
